Project Swarm is a data visualization project that dives into electricity⚡️ generation, consumption and loss in the Emirate of Dubai specifically.

This project has been developed as part of my 3rd Year Product Design Course, in collaboration with Zinah Issa & Mazyar Etihadi.

Electricity is often percieved as something that is calculated and precision-made with associations to grid like structures, numeric data & engineered machines. Since this element is man made and controlled, every aspect is pre-decided and recorded in terms of data.

In order to bring an understanding of this element to life we observed how our use of electricity seems to be omnipresent in our environment.

Through the use of primary and secondary research data, we generated an initial 3D particle map of electrical presence in the city.

Taking this idea further we created gravitational fields from observational data of city areas while assigning colors based on consumptional data using primary research to create our final outcome.
